A Seminar on Cloud Computing and Big Data @ The Neotia University

 This post is to document what we witnessed on 24th of April at Diamond Harbour . The Event was mostly about Cloud Computing and Big Data. Abhishek Nandy , Debashree Chanda , Kishlay and Sumantro Mukherjee from Geek Monkey Studios, wholeheartedly participated in this event making it a grand success.

What happened

The a decent amount of students from the engg. depts of the college gathered up to learn two new most widely used and upcoming technologies from both the academic and industry  perspective.The main aim was to empower students and get them the Kickstart to Cloud Computing and Big Data with some implementation and case studies and finally distributing Dream Spark Keys  and  Certificate of Appreciation  to all who attended the seminar.

Who did what
There were some Professors from Jadavpur University, who gave the participant the pathway from the academic point of view while the Abhishek from Geek Monkey Studios gave the introduction from the industry view point.

3.30 - 5.00 : Big data With IBM Bluemix Data Integration By Abhishek Nandy.

The day started with the warm welcome from the Director of the college.The second half by the Geek Monkey was a mind boggling as Abhishek started by giving demos using Machine learning in Azure and Adding up Bluemix in the scene and explained all the concepts vividly and demoed Apps. Also, He went ahead and kicked it up a notch by bringing Real Sense into the scene and integrating it with Azure.
